We are booked from 5pm to 930pm, but if you would like to sit in the bar area or patio? You can walk in
They play a variety of music, usually classic rock, blues, and old school R&B On Mondays they have live music, it varies some times, but there is always jazz piano, the house band which does classic rock, and other performers that do some covers and original songs.
In that area, try Park and Rec.
A restaurant out front and a cozy little 20's speakeasy in the back. Very dark bar. Prices OK. Adequate parking. I had some pizza and beer served in the back bar - very good.
I love, love, love this place! The owner is just the best, he has the sweet big dog. The drinks are always great, the food is fantastic (try their pizza) and the atmosphere in the bar is awesome. Black and white movies playing every night! Perfect for taking a friend out but nothing too crazy or for date night where you can sit and have a real conversation.
Fun place for friends to hang out.
Great drinks great food great service.
So cool! Great networking space and amazing massive nachos.
Super fun and nostalgic place. Must see!!
I really like coming here. Its a great little bar. They have good prices for drinks. The energy here is chill and fun. Bar tender was fast and friendly. The drinks we had were made with the perfect amount of ingredients. So far my favorite bar. A little far but I don't mind the drive for this bar
Halloween time was calling. I believe this was a restaurant called Mardi Gras. I rated it 5 stars because Halloween poses no challenge to fast and prompt service. It's fun; it's fair, and eclectic. I do recommend it.
Good place to meet with group of friends. In a low key chill environment. Plenty of big table. Outdoor covered patio with heaters.
Great atmosphere. Good drinks; I like their whiskey sours. Fantastic pizza with truffle oil on the crust. A regular for me.
This bar is my favorite speak easy bar in the area. Great food, great selection of beers, and overall an amazing atmosphere. They have displays showing emblematic old and new films in black and white without sound, and they always have nice easy listening music in the background. They will also have concerts on Mondays which are always fun and showcase new talent. The owner is a musician as well that will show off his amazing guitar skills jumping on bar counter. They also have a great sport bar at the front now that offers a good size patio as well that unlike the Red Door bar will actually show sports instead of the black and white movies.
The food and service were above my expectations. We absolutely enjoyed the environment of this place. Awesome spot to take the family out for dinner.
Only on town for a few days and went out with my brother. This place had Johnny Depp movies playing in black and white on the TV's and subtle music playing for good conversation.
Cool dive bar with stiff drinks at reasonable prices.
Cool speakeasy not too loud. Great food , nice staff, ambiance is classic Hollywood
Nice bar & the staff is cool!!!!and attentive; drinks & food at this bar are aweaome!!!!!! We love this hidden place in the valley!!!!!!. P.d. The black & white movies are suuuuuuuuper!!!!!.
This is one of the best kept secrets where you can never really put a name to the person sitting next to you at the bar who might be famous, or not....... unpretentious as it gets, great cocktails, awesome staff.
Nice atmosphere and drinks were good.
Tasty bar food and a nice selection of BOTTLED beer, none on tap. Chill vibes, dark red atmosphere. Comfortable and varied seating. Friendly staff. Divy music selection.
Good vibes, cozy and intimate. Great food and the people who work there are so friendly!
We were only in town for a couple nights and our hosts recommended it. Great little spot with an awesome atmosphere, We had an issue with one of our orders but it was fixed quickly.
A hidden gem. The back entrance to the restaurant is a red door in an alleyway that leads to a warm, cozy interior. The staff are friendly and social and you might just catch the owner Doc. I wound up catching Doc and his band. The music was great and wrapped up the whole room. The star for me is the chicken and waffle sliders. The chicken is perfectly fried and sandwiched between mini waffles. The dish is drizzled in syrup and dusted with chili powder for a subtle heat to add to the sweet and crispy moments. And then the dish is heated with fries. Delicious! I'm definitely coming back here.
Nifty, down-to-earth spot that I can't say enough great things about. Not only does this place have an awesome "secret club" vibe with its back door entrance, but the bartenders and the crowd are just fun. Great place to unwind without being bothered, if that's what you're looking for, or to have an interesting conversation with someone fascinating. Great spot.
Nice and laid back atmosphere. A little pricey.
Nice little bar with good music
Love the patio. The food is pretty good. Pizza is good The service can sometimes lack.
It would be great if they never had a live performer in here ever again. The vibe is perfect when it’s quiet and romantic. Some dude with an acoustic guitar ruins the vibe. Maintaining the five stars because it’s an awesome place
Superb find. Went here on a recommendation. Walk past it and you'd miss it. Great bar inside. Good drinks menu, and suitably dark inside for a bit of afternoon drinks.
The Red Door is one of a kind in Low Angeles. A quasi-speakeasy with a long history and a lot of spirit. Great southern inspired food and fire roasted pizzas. Amazing cocktails from friendly and talented bartenders. Welcoming atmosphere with easy-going regulars, a dog-friendly policy, and a running "guess the theme" movie trivia game. The Red Door is the bar TV promised you. Great for a date night. Great for night with friends. Great for flying solo too. Live music every Monday that is a sight to see!
I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Fresh Quality food! Especially the pizza!
We had fun at this bar. They accommodated our little birthday party. The bartender was excellent. He made a great Old Fashioned.
Best backdoor bar in the world!
So, last week, someone brought home a few slices of pizza from the Red Door. It wasn't bad. This afternoon, I stopped by and had some fresh out of the oven. We ordered a chopped salad, a lobster pizza and a sausage pizza. The crust is super thin and very crisp. The toppings are bold and work well together. I had a hard time deciding which was my favorite. The chopped salad was perfect, not minced to smithereens, just chopped so it could be eaten easily with the assistance of a slice of pizza. Good tomatoes crisp greens and a sprinkling of other ingredients that gave the salad great texture and taste. Just enough dressing to compliment not overpower.I'll be back to try the rest of the menu.
Great spot. Blue Cheese Sliders are amazing, and typically I hate blue cheese. Service is alright but the atmosphere more than makes up for it
Good place to get together at for large groups. Manager is very accommodating as long as you call in advance. The drinks here are awful so best to order drinks neat.
Owners make you feel like you're at home, good food, great priced drinks. The place is cool looking.
Very good customer service and pretty good drinks. The best is the fact that you can order food along with the drinks you're having in the wonderful courtyard outside which is covered and cozy.
Had our company party here at the red door. The atmosphere is great, little lights everywhere and a tree in the middle of the courtyard area. The courtyard area has a separate bar area for service. The food that was catered included three types of salads, ribs, chicken, ravioli, vegetables. Pretty good food. Very friendly and helpful staff. My biggest complaint is the lack of dedicated parking, but this is not uncommon considering the area that it is located.
Great cozy place if you want local talent and music it's a hidden spot
Delicious. I love the pizza and the ambiance. Especially in the evening. It's timeless... romantic. Wait staff are great.
Cool vibe in a hidden bar. I do wish they had a more diverse drink list menu. While the martini was good, it was not something I would normally order. Martinis are the majority of what they had on their drink list. I'm not very creative with drinks so I usually stick to something on the drink menu. The space was big and not to crowded when I went.
Cozy, intimate
Great spot to grab a drink, a bite and have a good, chill, pleasant time with friends. + Fast bartenders+ Different rooms so one can chose an ambiance of their preference
Service okay. Sat ready to eat bc we were starving after a 2 1/2 hour movie. We ordered pizza and when it arrived it was dry and cold. But before I even took a bite a part with a slobbering dog sat next to us..dog shaking off hair everywhere.dog seemed pretty bad and when we moved and told the waitress, she said nothing. I looked around and noticed two other dogs at different tables. Cute place and can be quant and romantic but it's pretty disgusting to have the dog hair viable in the air under the light landing on your food and food that is mideoker.. not going back.
Coolest little hide away bar with the best bartender in the city!
Glad I ordered such a big pizza as I drank half my weight in cocktails. Between the three is is we had all the cocktails on the menu. Neat place great atmosphere an a neat rustic aesthetic. I had the Brussels sprout and bacon pizza, but the tastiest was the just cheese and prosciutto.
Subpar old fashion
Great place for a date or catching up with a friend. Cocktails are very good but the food is overpriced for it's quality The pizza had great toppings but the dough was overbaked and tasted more like a biscuit
A really cute spot, with live music, very friendly atmosphere. Great musicans too. I really enjoyed my time there. Also very good on weekdays too!
A friend invited me to "Red Door" for drinks and appetizers. The name caught my interest, I was expecting a beautiful entrance with a gorgeous fancy door in the middle of an alley in Toluca Lake. The Red Door was nothing but a door, it was shut open so people could see they were open for business. Then we ordered appetizers. By the time the appetizers got to the table I was ready to leave, (I couldn't believe was the bartender didn't know what Tito's, with club soda, was?) And it took over 1 hour and the place was almost empty I can't imagine how long it would have taken if they were busy? My first clue should have been, it was a Saturday night and the place was empty. The only reason I'm giving it 3 * is because they are connected to a restaurant "Riverside" I didn't eat there, I loved the decor and on as told they are one of the few restaurants that still use a firewood pizza oven to make pizzas in.
